Abstract
The low frequency Raman spectra of chloro‐, fluoro‐, and methylcyclobutane have been recorded for these molecules in the gaseous state. Only the Δv=1 transitions were observed for the ring‐puckering vibrations of these molecules of Cs symmetry. From the observed data, potential functions governing these low frequency vibrations have been calculated.Keywords
