Raman Spectra of Gases. II. Monosubstituted Cyclobutanes

Abstract
The low frequency Raman spectra of chloro‐, fluoro‐, and methylcyclobutane have been recorded for these molecules in the gaseous state. Only the Δv=1 transitions were observed for the ring‐puckering vibrations of these molecules of Cs symmetry. From the observed data, potential functions governing these low frequency vibrations have been calculated.
