Abstract
The normal problem encountered in the design of tile drainage systems is to determine the maximum spacing between drains, which will enable the water table to fall to a predetermined height above the drains, in a given time, under given conditions of permeability, void ratio, and depth of aquifer. The problem is often resolved by use of Glover's transient drain-spacing formula. Keywords
