Falling Water Table Between Tile Drains

Abstract
The normal problem encountered in the design of tile drainage systems is to determine the maximum spacing between drains, which will enable the water table to fall to a predetermined height above the drains, in a given time, under given conditions of permeability, void ratio, and depth of aquifer. The problem is often resolved by use of Glover's transient drain-spacing formula.
