Abstract
After intravenous injection of heparin-S35 into dogs, the different fractions of the blood were assayed for radioactivity. The preponderant amount of radioactivity was concentrated in the serum. Only minute amounts were in the low-density lipoprotein fraction. Chemical fractionation shows that the major portion of the radioactivity is in Cohn fractions I + III, lesser amounts in fraction II and only minute quantities in other fractions. Other experiments show that heparin is not desulfated in the blood stream. Keywords
