Abstract
Vibrational excitation of CO by N+ and O+˙ is investigated by means of high‐resolution translational energy spectroscopy. The spectra display unusual features which are discussed in relation to the Wigner spinconservation rule. Reaction channels involving CO (X1Σ+→a3Πr) are prominently featured. Keywords
