Abstract
Meningococci possess an endocellular maltase enzyme. The splitting of maltose by this enzyme has been demonstrated by a biological method based upon the acid fermentation of glucose by bacteria which have little or no action upon maltose. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
