Abstract
The tissue of the cotton seed that usually has been considered to arise from the nucellus and has been called perisperm is shown to arise from the inner epidermis of the inner integument. Therefore it is not true perisperm. The old name fringe cells, or fringe tissue, is however applicable.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
