dnpConfigurations of Ti ii and Ni ii

The term values of $d^{2}p$ in Ti ii and of $d^{8}p$ in Ni ii are calculated, taking into account the distortions due to interaction with higher configurations, by a method which is a generalization of the $L(L+1\mathrm{})\mathrm{}$ correction. Mean deviations of the calculated values from the experimental ones of 140 ${\mathrm{cm}}^{-1\mathrm{}}$ in Ti ii and of 130 ${\mathrm{cm}}^{-1\mathrm{}}$ in Ni ii are obtained.
