Abstract
Five cases of renal impairment caused by the deposition of light chains in the kidney in association with various immunoproliferative disorders are reported. Light microscopy, immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy were undertaken and different clinical courses were studied, resulting in variable influences of treatment. Light chain deposition is an important cause of renal impairment and requires special histological techniques for its recognition.This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
