Abstract
Indium(III) nitrate crystallises from aqueous nitric acid as In(NO3)3,3H2O, from which both anionic and cationic complexes have been obtained. No extraction of indium from aqueous nitric acid was detected with either methyldioctylamine or tri-n-butyl phosphate. The thermal decomposition of In(NO3)3,3H2O is a two-step process, finally yielding In2O3.Keywords
