Abstract
An overview is provided of the techniques for measuring plutonium in various media. The emphasis is on measurements for surveillance and protection in environmental and occupational situations. Overviews are first provided for the characteristics of, sources of, and typical levels of plutonium concentrations. The various measurement techniques are then discussed.Keywords
