Abstract
A phenomenological study is made of the weak production process by displaying the matrix element in terms of eight form factors. Simple functional dependences are adopted for these form factors, and analytical expressions for the cross sections are given in detail. A numerical analysis is carried out to investigate the effectiveness of each form factor. Three models are proposed for this process: One assumes the dominance of a single form factor, another incorporates information obtained from photoproduction, and the third employs the relations of Bég and Pais. All three models are compatible with the present experimental information, but the one derived from the theory is the most encouraging.
