RatioσLσTfrom deep-inelastic electron scattering

Abstract
Values of R=σLσT for deep-inelastic electron-nucleon scattering have been derived from several experiments with incident electron energies up to 20 GeV. Included are previously unpublished measurements at intermediate angles (largely at 15° and 18°). An average value of R=0.22±0.1 is obtained for the kinematic region covered by the experiments. No significant kinematic dependence of R is observed. A table of extracted values of the structure functions νW2 and 2MW1 is also presented.
