Abstract
It is shown that the method detailed by Emin and Hart [Phys. Rev. B 36, 7353 (1987)] for an electron in a one-dimensional lattice and uniform electric field may be extended to three dimensions, with a uniform magnetic field also present. Stationary-state localization properties are seen to be directly related to those of certain field-dependent Wannier functions.
