Abstract
Standardization by determination of pyocin sensitivity was achieved with 200 strains of Pseudomones aeruginosa isolated from clinical material. It was analyzed semiquantitatively by using a step-scale in 5 parts. Identical or highly corresponding strains according to pyocin sensitivity were registered on the example of strains isolated in an intensive-care unit by calculation of the Q-correlation coefficient according to the Q-technique and by the determination of differences in single reactions using a standardized measure of distance. The resulting epidemiological connection is discussed.
