Experiments with Pulsed Magnets for the Extraction of Intraocular Foreign Bodies

Abstract
In order to achieve a controlled extraction of ferromagnetic intraocular foreign bodies, experiments were performed with pulsed magnets. It turned out that the vitreous bodies of the eyes used in the investigation were rubber-elastic, rather than visco-elastic, with relaxation times of the order 100 msec.
