Abstract
By means of single‐crystal x‐ray‐diffraction methods, an underlying structural similarity among HfOs, HfIr, and HfPt has been established. Based on low‐temperature (below −100°C) precession photographs, the existence of the previously anticipated ``Mf'' temperature in TiNi has been confirmed. This evidence further supports the existence of unique ``martensitic'' transition ``bands'' in the TiNi, ZrPd, and HfPt series of equiatomic binary compounds. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
