Abstract
Yuendumu is a settlement of 1,000 Warlpiri Aborigines, 300 desert kilometres northwest of Alice Springs. VCRs have arrived in this community. Who owns them? Who watches them? What is watched? What are the costs and what is the impact of this new technology? Will satellite television transmission serve this community better? Eric Michaels (Australian Institute of Aboriginal Studies) and Leonard Japanangka Granites (Warlpiri Video) report. Keywords
