Abstract
In a double-blind cross-over study of 23 patients with ankylosing spondylitis, indomethacin 25 mg four times daily was preferred significantly more frequently than sulindac 200 mg twice daily. Most objective clinical measurements showed some improvement with both drugs and there was no significant difference between the objective results achieved with the two treatments. The distribution of side-effects was similar with each drug but sulindac caused minor liver enzyme abnormalities in three patients. Keywords
