Abstract
A series of investigations into the protective effect of equimolecular doses of a large number of amines against 700 r total body irradiation in mice is reported. The importance of cysteamine, and amine of low toxicity, as a protective agent is discussed in detail. Relatively small doses of cysteamine will suppress clinical radiation sickness following radiotherapy. Keywords
