Abstract
Quantum effects in the easy-plane ferromagnetic chain are considered in the semiclassical approximation. It is shown that the soliton part of the specific heat is reduced significantly by the inclusion of quantum effects. The results are compared with the data for CsNi and ( N) Cu.
