Characterization of Film and Junction Qualities in a-Si Solar Cells

Abstract
A new method has been developed for evaluating some important physical parameters such as built-in potential, mobility-lifetime products and surface recombination velocities in amorphous silicon solar cells. Applying this method to various actual cells made with different structures and conditions, an essential connection among cell construction conditions, resulting physical parameters and cell performances is made clear. Moreover, stability of cell performances against prolonged light irradiation and/or annealing heat treatment is discussed in a similar manner.
