HUMAN LYMPHOCYTE TYPING WITH ISOLOGOUS ANTISERA; TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS AND A PRELIMINARY STUDY OF THE CYTOTOXIC REACTION SYSTEM

Abstract
The time-related development of lymphocytotoxic antibodies in humans after skin homografting and/or intradermal leukocyte injection has been detailed. The antibodies were shown to reside chiefly in the γ2-globulin fraction of serum and to be individual-specific. They could be selectively adsorbed with positively-reacting cells. Various parameters of the cytotoxic test system were studied with emphasis on the nature of its “complement” requirement.
