Abstract
The effects of various levels of lysine intake on nitrogen balance were studied in 14 women maintained on a semisynthetic diet in which about 95% of the total nitrogen was furnished by pure amino acids and diammonium citrate. From data obtained in this experiment, it appears that 0.40 to 0.50 gm lysine per day is adequate for the establishment of nitrogen balance in women under these conditions. Keywords
