Abstract
The association of nodular renal blastema, renal dysplasia and duplicated collecting systems may represent more than a histopathological observation. Based on the "double hit" theory of oncogenesis, the appearance of this histologic pattern in kidneys with other developmental alterations may account for an increased risk of neoplasia. Keywords
