Abstract
Molecular approaches and genetic manipulations have provided novel insights into the processing of pheromone-mediated information by the olfactory and vomeronasal systems of mammals. We will review and discuss the specific contribution of each of the two chemosensory systems that ensure specific behavioral responses to conspecific animals. Keywords
