The proton magnetic resonance spectra of protoberberinium salts

Abstract
The 1H n.m.r. spectra of a number of synthetic and naturally occurring protoberberinium salts have revealed several useful correlations between the chemical shifts of alkoxy and aromatic protons and the chemical structures of these molecules. The application of these correlations for the prediction of structures of new alkaloids of this group is discussed and the constitution of groenlandicine is revised.
