Abstract
The ring-opening of unsymmetrical epoxides with amines has been investigated using zeolite as a catalyst. Moderately acidic and basic zeolite shows higher catalytic activity and regioselectivity compared to strongly acidic or basic zeolite. The cooperative function of acid and base sites of zeolite was found to be essential for effective catalysis. Keywords
