Abstract
The rate constant for the reaction OH+ClO→ Products (1) was measured in a discharge flow tube under pseudo‐first order conditions in OH. OH was monitored via the resonance fluorescence detection scheme. The measurements were made at low pressures (∼1 Torr) and at temperatures between 248 and 335 K. The measured rate coefficients, corrected for the interference due to OH regeneration via the reaction Cl+HO2→OH+ClO, were found to be nearly temperature independent with a mean value of (1.17±0.33)×10−11 cm3 molecule−1 s−1.Keywords
