Abstract
The television signals are sampled both spatially and temporally, i. e., the vertical domain of the image is quantized by scanning lines, while the temporal domain according to the time rate of the field alterations. In that consequence, parasitic specta are introduced in the sampled product, and in principle, a pre-filter and an interpolation filter based on sampling theory are necessarily called for to the faithful reproduction of original picture quality at the displays. Keywords
