Cultural Therapy in the Old People's Home

Abstract
A description of cultural therapy experiences and results in an old people's home is presented covering a 5-year period. The investigations show that cultural therapy, when adapted to fit aged mental features, personalities, intellectual levels, and general health conditions of home residents, can stimulate new interests and over-all mental activity in the elderly. Such therapy also develops conditions for social expression by the aged person and may afford protection against social isolation.
