Abstract
Treatment of tobacco with gibberellic acid in field and greenhouse experiments had little effect on yield of leaves but decreased the nicotine content of both leaves and roots. It is postulated that the decrease of nicotine content in the tobacco leaves resulted from a change in the metabolism of roots caused by gibberellic acid applications. Keywords
