Abstract
In this study the relation between flow and the difference of the pressures on the two sides of stenosis with sharp edges is investigated for constant and pulsatile flows. The applicability of the theory of Gorlin and Gorlin is complicated by a kind of hysteresis phenomenon in the case of pulsatile flows. Keywords
