Abstract
A proposition is proved which demonstrates that the integral feedback control matrix must have full rank in order to arbitrarily assign all n + r eigenvalues of the augmented system. This proposition serves as the basis for two design algorithms which provide closed-form expressions for the proportional and integral control matrices when state variable feedback control is used. Keywords
