Abstract
Although social work services are provided both by and for gay people, research indicates that social workers have not sufficiently addressed the unique needs of lesbians and gay men. Based on an understanding of the changing theoretical conceptualizations of homosexuality and the dilemmas involved in integrating new curriculum content, California's social work educators were surveyed on their perceptions of curriculum content on homosexuality and their attitudes toward homosexuality. Findings showed significant associations among inclusion of content on homosexuality, attitudes toward homosexuality, and social contacts with gay people. Keywords
