Hindered rotation of adsorbed diatomic molecules

Abstract
The rotational heat capacities and entropies of the different nuclear spin species of hydrogen and deuterium as both free and hindered rotators are presented and discussed. The effects of rotational perturbations on the thermodynamic properties are much more important for o-H2 (p-D2) than for p-H2 (o-D2), particularly at small barrier heights and low temperatures.
