Abstract
A first-order analysis of the sensitivity of the MUSIC algorithm to differences between the true and assumed array manifolds is presented. A formula is derived for computing the amount of phase error that will cause the algorithm to fail to resolve two sources, as a function of source separation and other system parameters. The failure threshold is shown to be proportional to the square of the source separation.<>Keywords
