Abstract
The sera of 539 rabbits previously immunized to a wide variety of bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms, were tested for Treponema pallidum im-mobilizing (TPI) antibody. TPI tests were nonreactive in every serum. Microorganisms chosen were selected because they are common causes of infectious diseases in the temperate zone. The authors sug-gest that other treponemal tests, which react to different antibodies, be studied in a similar way. Keywords
