Abstract
A complex of a fragment of ''y-chain of Ig[immunoglobulin]G and .beta.2-microglobulin (.beta.2M) was isolated from the urine of a patient with plasma cell leukemia. The approximate MW of the .gamma.-fragment was 19,000 and this .gamma.-fragment was associated with .beta.2M noncovalently. The complex could be dissociated in 7.5% (vol/vol) n-propanol which suggests an important role of hydrophobic bonds in the association of the .gamma.-fragment and .beta.2M. The .beta.2M did not bind monoclonal IgG from this patient. Several anti-.beta.2M antisera tested which were prepared with free .beta.2M did not react with the .beta.2M associated with the .gamma.-fragment, but reacted with the free .beta.2M obtained by the dissociation of the complex. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
