Parity Nonconservation in the ReactionF19(p→,α0)O16

A parity nonconservation asymmetry was observed in the reaction ${}_{}{}^{19}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{F}$($\overrightarrow{p},{\alpha }_0$ ${}_{}{}^{16}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{O}$. Longitudinally polarized protons with an energy of 670 keV hit a S${\mathrm{F}}_6$ gas target. The resonant proton capture leads to the 13.482-MeV, $1^{+}$, $T=1\mathrm{}$ state in ${}_{}{}^{20}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Ne}$. The analyzing power for this reaction was determined for six proton energies around 670 keV. The maximum of the analyzing power $A_{max}=(6.6\mathrm{}\pm 2.4)\times {10}^{-3\mathrm{}}$ was deduced from a bestfit interference curve to these points.
