Abstract
Thoracic measurements of 252 workers of E. carolinense and 244 workers of E. nigrescens from single colonies were made. The workers of each sp. fitted into a normal frequency curve. No structural differences were found among the workers of either sp. which would spearate them into 2 or more groups, and no contrasting behavior patterns were observed among workers of living colonies. It is concluded that workers of both spp. are monomorphic.
