Property-Directed Synthesis

Abstract
The ferrocene subunit has been used in the design and production of a family of small molecule receptors that have a molecular cleft which varies in size, shape, and electron richness. The criteria considered in their design and some aspects of their syntheses are discussed. 1. Introduction 2. A Family of Novel Structures Based upon Ferrocene 3. Small Molecule Complexing Systems 4.
