Abstract
Glass, celluloid, cellulose acetate, hard and soft rubber and seven synthetic resins have been tested to determine their suitability for photoelastic investigations. The stress-strain relations, photoelastic coefficients and annealing temperatures have been measured. It is concluded that the synthetic resins Phenolite, Bakelite, and L'Orca are among the most satisfactory materials for photoelastic purposes. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
