Abstract
Podocarpic acid (15) has been converted into the ambergris odorant γ-bicyclohomofarnesal (1) and two analogues (2) and (3). The stereochemistry of the intermediate keto ester (24) has been confirmed by a single-crystal X-ray determination. Keywords
