Canadian Geothermal Data Collection - northern wells 1976-77

Abstract
The assessment and solution of many problems which may occur in the development of northern regions require a knowledge of subsurface temperatures. This volume supplements three earlier vol\.Utles in this series, and it reports new measurements at 37 of the sites listed in the previous vol\.Utles and observations from 8 new sites. A total of 86 determinations of permafrost thickness have been reported in the collection to date. Determined thicknesses in the Arctic Islands range from 144 m to 728 m, in the Mackenzie Delta from 0 m to 700 m and in the remainder of the Northern Mainland from 0 m to in excess of 700 m.
