Abstract
We show that the naive solution of the two-hole-line-approximation equations for the many-fermion ground-state energy leads to physically incorrect results. As poles cross the integration contour, residue corrections must be appended to the equations. Unfortunately, the corrected equations do not appear to be solvable for nuclear-type potentials. Keywords
