Abstract
A comparison of schizophrenics and organics on their capacity for role-playing indicated that although both groups fared worse than normals, the incapacity to role-play for each pathological group could be accounted for differentially. Cognitive deficits seemed to inhibit the organics; schizophrenics seemed to lack empathy (seen in a capacity to predict the performance of another person). 32 refs.
