3-Acetamino-4-hydroxy-benzoesäure und 2-Acetaminophenol aus Pseudomonas-Kulturen [1] / 3-Acetamino-4-hydroxy Benzoic Acid and 2-Acetamino Phenol from Pseudomonas Cultures

Abstract
Pseudomonas, Chorismic Acid Metabolism (Alternative Route), Phenazine Biosynthesis From Pseudomonas cepacia cultures 3-acetamino-4-hydroxy-benzoic acid has been isolated. This compound is of biogenetic interest as it suggests an alternative route in the chorismic acid metabolism initiated by an attack of an equivalent of NH3 at C-5 rather than at C-2 as usually observed. Implications on the phenazine biosynthesis have been discussed.
