Notizen: Quantitativ-chemische Untersuchungen zur färberischen Darstellung der Pentosenucleinsäure in Gewebsschnitten

Abstract
Two methods were used for fixation of materials. In general, reagents used for fixation change the tissues to such an extent that determina- tion of nucleic acid by the usual methods is impossible, e.g., reliable quantitative analyses of formalin-fixed tissue could not be made. Fixation by freeze-drying avoids extraction of the nucleic acids and at the same time keeps them in a condition particularly favorable for enzymatic hydrolysis.
