Abstract
Two methods were used for fixation of materials. In general, reagents used for fixation change the tissues to such an extent that determina- tion of nucleic acid by the usual methods is impossible, e.g., reliable quantitative analyses of formalin-fixed tissue could not be made. Fixation by freeze-drying avoids extraction of the nucleic acids and at the same time keeps them in a condition particularly favorable for enzymatic hydrolysis. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
