Immobilization of Biomolecules and Cells on and Within Synthetic Polymeric Hydrogels

Abstract
The study and application of immobilized biologically active molecules and cells have become increasingly important endeavors in both medicine and industry. Biomolecules and cells can be immobilized on and within many different supports using a variety of techniques. Hydrogels have some properties which make them particularly suitable for this purpose.
