Abstract
In recent years, the most favorable interaction between information systems and people has drawn deep interest. An experimental study was conducted on the adaptation of computer‐based communication to people at the automatic teller machines (ATMs) that are used by the general public. Forty‐two subjects (24 young people, 6 housewives, and 12 elderly people) operated an automatic teller machine in the experiments.Keywords
